Highlighting Natural Features with EMR Band Combinations

This weeks lab involved manipulating a multispectral image of a natural landscape, explore the metadata of the layer, and find features within the image based on pixel values given.  By selecting the Metadata of an .img file in ERDAS Imagine, you can view the characteristics of each pixel in the image.  For this lab, those characteristics (spectral band and pixel brightness range) were provided.  We were to identify the features in the image based on these characteristics and by using the Inquire tool, you can follow trends of pixel brightness changing over the landscape.  I loaded the original .img file into a Map in ArcPro and proceeded to use the Create Subset tool in Imagine to extract the areas around the three features I was to identify (deep water, snowcapped mountain ridge, and a shallow freshwater lake).  After importing the three .img files into ArcPro, I created three Feature Layers around each extracted area.  By using three different Feature Layer polygons, this made it easy to distinguish which area is which on the legend.
